So, my first-grader has the chickenpox! After just 3 days of school, he's going to end up missing about a week and a half. Oh well. Luckily he had the vaccine, so it seems to be a pretty mild case. He heard the doctor telling me about the deadly flesh-eating disease that you can get if any lesions get infected, so he's been doing great about not scratching.
Perhaps more disturbing than the chickenpox, was what we witnessed on TV in the pediatricians waiting room on the Disney Channel. I wasn't sure what the hell it was, but apparently they are called DoodleBops. WTF?

Yeah, the Doodlebops, what freaks. They're Canadian, so maybe that explains SOMETHING? I dunno...
OMG!
The Doodlebops. I just snorted tea out my nose!
I'm sorry your little one is sick!
Those things are freakin' bizarre. I WILL NOT let my kids watch that.
I second Buttercup's theory about the Canadian thing.
Chickenpox the first week of school? Grrrrrr...as least it will be over with soon!?!?!
Yeah. The crappy doodlebops. For some reason my kid likes that show. All the colors or something. It comes on after the Mickey Mouse club. I've got to get faster with that remote.
